Gesso Coated Paper Gel Printed Paper

In this video I am testing how coating a paper with Gesso before gel printing effects the print quality. I have used four different paper types that I normally use to make prints or paper for collage to do the tests. Homemade Gesso Recipe 1 cup cornstarch 1 cup baking soda 1/3 cup glue 1/3 cup acrylic paint Water to right consistency (about ½ cup} Mix dry ingredients till lumps are gone {I usually sift them but you don’t have to} Add the glue and paint into that and stir till well mixed then add the water a little at a time until you get the consistency you want. Store in sealed container. Unlike store bought gesso this will only keep for a while so only make as much as you need for upcoming projects.
