A hawker stall, with its history dating fat back in the 1950s-60s, still keeps to making its own carrot cake. The Michelin Bib Gourmand 2023 is a tastament of the hard work and food quality by 2nd generation owner, Mr Tan Sai Heng. Freshly made daily, his carrot cake is generously packed with radish, and upon steaming, is soft and pillowy. Fried to golden yellow with preserved radish, eggs and seasoning, a fragrant plate of carrot cake loaded with wok hei and crisp charred bits will keep one yearning for more. Oyster omelette is the other popular dish served. The omelette is well fried and sprinkled with plump, juicy oysters.
