Welcome to Timberborn and the start of a brand new Timberborn Iron Teeth series. In this first episode, we begin a Hard Mode playthrough on the Pressure map, playing as the Iron Teeth faction exactly as voted for by you. This time around, the goal is slow, deliberate expansion with a heavy industrial aesthetic inspired by Soviet-style city planning, as we try to survive one of Timberborn’s most unforgiving maps. We take time to break down how the Pressure map works, exploring its unique water mechanics, pressure-based flow, limited freshwater sources, and the constant threat of bad water backflow. Early gameplay focuses on securing water, setting up farms for kohlrabi and cassava, managing berry production for Iron Teeth breeding pods, and preparing for the first drought while avoiding injuries from hazardous terrain and unstable explosives scattered across the map. As the episode progresses, we carefully expand our infrastructure with dams, levees, power wheels, early industry, medical beds, and science production, all while juggling population growth, food shortages, injuries, and the long-term threat of bad tides. We also begin planning major future projects, including large reservoirs, metal access, sluices, and flood control systems, knowing that one mistake on this map could completely collapse the colony.
