Tonight felt like a quiet but meaningful milestone. During the 5th Sunday in Ordinary Time Mass, my friend and I sang A Prayer of St Richard of Chichester, a hymn I first discovered about two years ago. Ever since then, I’ve wanted to share it in church, but I kept waiting… wanting to grow, to polish it, and to feel truly ready. Recently, after some encouraging words from my singing mentor, I finally found the courage to offer this hymn during Mass. With the support of my friend who sang with me and our accompanist who worked so hard practising the organ part, tonight felt like a meaningful personal milestone. A moment of gratitude, growth, and quiet joy.
