Hello! This is a revisit to a older video of the famous store Toy Paradise of Shimo-Kitazawa. The store first opened in 1980 by Mr. Nakamura. The store closed around 2015. It was a wonderful place that was jammed packed full of vintage goodies. The prices were really fair and he updated his stock pretty often. I would go through each drawer and check behind each toy shelf to make sure I did not miss a amazing find. As you browsed he loved to play vintage Spanish music. He was extremely kind and if you asked for anything he would show you all the various areas it would be possibly in. Though it was jammed packed it was organized very well. The back area towards the end of the video had at times some really nice Japanese G1 Transformers and Diaclone. I probably spent about 3-4 hours each time going through everything. After every purchase he would add it up and tell you about your gift. For every 1000 Yen you sent you could receive a free small toy or a trading card in the various binders he had near the check out area in the back. He would insist and I chose sometimes 50 cards and toys! Which was great because some of those Pokemon cards I got are tough now! Though the store is gone, it is wonderful to have a video of the store itself to be recorded for all time. So many stores are long gone from the Japanese scene of the 90's and 2000's. I came into the world of Japan well after many of these places had close... but just enough were I could taste a it of the old collectible world in Tokyo and Osaka. if you wish for me to post more videos and photo montages just let me know. I have more photos than videos ( I should have been smarter ) of store stock from Mandarake and Capsula and Golden Age etc. Remember back then no photos were allowed! #japanesetoys #toystores #Japan #collectibles
