With units from four different major commands -- Air Combat Command, Air Force Special Operations Command, Air Mobility Command and U.S. Air Forces in Europe. The 100th Air Refuelling Wing is RAF Mildenhall's current host wing and the only permanent U.S. air refuelling wing in the European theatre, activated here on February 1, 1992. The wing provides the critical air refuelling "bridge" that allows the Expeditionary Air Force to deploy around the globe on a moment's notice.
