I'm celebrating the day that the pinball simulator, Pinball FX2, has been released for PC via Steam. The link to this game is pasted tight below: http://store.steampowered.com/app/226... Now for the review: I find this game OK to play if you're just into pinball in general. I was used to play the Space Cadet pinball game that came with every copy of Windows XP. In comparison, FX2 has all the advantages. First thing, FX2 has such detailed graphics like an actual pinball machine compared to that to the Space Cadet. The sound quality seems what it should sound, especially with the different themes. Space Cadet only has the classic pinball sounds (such as hitting bumpers and lights) as well as music that seems pretty bland. The ball seems a bit too slow for a pinball arcade, or maybe it's just because the boards are not tilted far enough to emulate a real ball. Maybe if they tweaked the speed a bit, it would more look like the player is playing an actual pinball machine. Overall, it's decent enough to be considered a pinball simulator and maybe trying this game out for yourselves and see what you think about it.I just hope that FarSight Studios would release "Pinball Arcade" for PC, then I could possibly do a review of that. Maybe it'll be better than FX2. FX2 also seems to have these mini-games. When the ball goes to a certain place on any board, the LCD screen shows the mini-game's instructions then it begins. These mini games are just to be learned by trial & error so you can know what to do the next time. However, the instructions are pretty self-explanatory and the lights on the board can also be a support. On Steam, FX2 is released as a F2P game. But it's actually a trial version because all the boards are trail versions as well unless you buy the DLC packs. On each trial version board, you are limited to a certain amount of time before the game automatically ends, regardless of the number of balls As of the day this video was uploaded, the price for these DLC's are currently at $8.99 per pack and will go up to $9.99 once its May 17. I only bought the core pack just so I could play the full version. Once I get more money, I'll consider buying more packs. In this video, I'll be playing three pinball games: Rome, Secrets of the Deep, and Star Wars V: The Empire Strikes Back (trial version, to see how this time limit thing works). I'm still trying to get use to the controls, so my gameplay isn't as good as the professionals. DISCLAIMER: All rights are legally owned by Zen Games and George Lucas Films.
