More songs @ http://genkijapan.net WARNING: Do not press play! This song will infect you! Here's another Genki Japan song to learn Japanese for left, right, forward and back i.e. some useful directions (especially if you are in a Japanese taxi where they'll only speak Japanese!) Can you do the dance whilst singing it? 左 = hi da ri = left = the kanji is a guy with a tool (工) in his left hand 右 = mi gi = right = the kanji is a guy putting food in his kuchi 口 or mouth. Left tool. Right mouth. Easy to remember! Usually in Japanese we'd say "migi hidari" instead of "left right" as in English, but I kept it this way to make it easier to remember for you. Plus it's always written 左右 in Japanese. 前 = mae = means "forwards" or "front" or even "before" 後ろ = u shi ro = means "back" or "backwards". If you just have 後 on its own you read it as "ato" and it means "after" The other words are "sit down" in Japanese which is suwatte 座って And "stand up" which is 立って There are more formal ways of saying these two, but this is probably how your Japanese teacher talks to you when playing games etc. Put a "kudasai" on the end to make it a touch more formal e.g. suwatte kudasai. And if you have a look at the http://www.GenkiJapan.net website there's a free ebook called "Get Fluent in Japanese" which I'm giving away when you subscribe to my free "Learn Japanese FAQ" newsletter! http://www.GenkiJapan.net There's also a German version of this song at: http://www.genkienglish.net/learntosp... And the English version is in the Genki English Teacher's Pack: http://genkienglish.net/cdset.htm If you like the song please tell your friends about the site, and subscibe to the Youtube channel.
