LPG Crisis: Bengaluru Restaurants Hit by LPG Shortage | Vidyarthi Bhavan Forced to Shut Dosa Tawas

An India Today exclusive ground report reveals a severe LPG shortage impacting restaurants across Bengaluru. Vidyarthi Bhavan, an iconic pre-independence era restaurant established in 1943 and famous for its Masala Dosas, has been forced to shut down two of its four dosa tawas to conserve commercial gas supply. Empty LPG cylinders are stacked at various establishments, including in the Nelamangala area, waiting for refills. Arun Adiga from Vidyarthi Bhavan confirmed the severity, stating 'We definitely believe it as a real crisis till we get a stock from our dealer.' Distributors have reportedly stopped supplying commercial gas cylinders as refilling stations have halted operations. The Bengaluru hotel association has officially acknowledged limited supply of commercial gas.
