Instead of hiding our suffering in society and to ourselves as if it was something faulty, it is establibed as a truth which is qualified as Noble. The core teaching of the Buddha invite us to realize that there is suffering in our life and not only in us but that it is a universal characteristic shared by all sentient beings. Billions of beings in every realms and worlds. It makes us brothers and sisters in suffering. This recognition of suffering as something natural and inherent of the unenlightened state can be liberating in itself. Self-shame, judgement and blame can already subside partially with that realization. Then, the second Noble Truth is enounced as the origin of that very stress and unsatisfactorisness. This is where one has to be courageous and look very carefully and honestly. Cravings for sensual pleasures, for existence and for non-existence are the origin of this misery. One has to look at it honestly in order to understand how to make an end to it and to start developing the spiritual path leading to the end of dukkha (suffering). This talk starts with the practice of the recollection of the Buddha, Dharma, Sangha. To join our weekly gathering for free, please check on Muriel’s Facebook page.
