Roslin Glen is a magical woodland full of ancient stories! From the fae to the bloody battle which the Scots dominated. The Battle of Roslin took place in 1303 when William Wallace and Robert the Bruce led the Scots to an incredible victory! 30,000 vs 8,000! Alba Saor! The glen is also known for being a safe haven for the very shy fairies of the Scottish Lowlands, who can still enjoy their tranquillity just outside the city. I have tried to give a very brief history of Roslin Glen but it really is an incredible place! I found the ancient stone carvings of lovers leap rock, found the ancient trees which have stood strong for hundreds of years, checked out the wonderful castle ruins and even had a wee peek at the Rosslyn chapel.
