The temple is quite popular pilgrimage place among the inhabitants of Thalisain region as they have strong faith over the deity, Haseshwar Mahadev. History of Hansheshwar Mahadev In ancient time, there was small field of a farmer in the area, and during his agriculture work he mistakenly cut down a small Bedu plant, a type of tree usually found sub Himalayan region. As he cut that down, the plant started bleeding which made astonished the farmer. Same day night, he had a dream where he got warned by diving power not cut the tree in the future and worship it as symbol of deity Hansheshwar Mahadev. Soon villager developed the place into the large temple where Lord Shiva is worshiped as Hansheshwar Mahadev.
