Playthrough of Mental Omega 3.3.6 Foehn Origins mission #5 - Vanishing Point on Mental Difficulty. Time is both your ally and an enemy. Remnant forces approach the Alaskan base, formerly used by USA troops, now controled by Epsilon. If there is a place to resist the Mental Omega Device, its the point farthest from there - and the time to strike is now. There is a chance that freed USA forces will let us contact the Allied Expedition, currently laying siege to Mental Omega Device. If we can do that, not all is lost. You're given a lot of toys to play with here - use them well. We receive the first groups of Knightframes and Lancers, with task of destorying all production capabilities - before being brutally interrupted by activation of Psychic Beacon. A part two will begin after a short while, and you will receive another set of prototypes that you potentially had a chance to use/fight against - Iron Dragons, Tarchias, Diverbees, Infectors, Future Tanks Alpha, Gharials and Mastodons. Group them into teams and lay siege to the fortress. Utilize the long range units to stop enemies in their tracks, Infectors to deal with defenses, Alpha/Mastodon as a frontline with Nanocharge for Repairs and Gharials for anti-structure and anti-infantry purposes. Pushing further in you will receive harbingers under your command - strike the enemy on your way and proceed with the assault. Destroying the beacon will free the American forces and fight for control over entire base will begin. Join the Subroutine forces and Allied troops in clearing the rest of the fortress, while your infantry from part 1 - now freed from mind control - breaches through back entrance and destroys the defenses located there to open another attack route for your allies. The brawl will not take long. After final production strcutre is taken out, mission will be accomplished. There is only one easter egg here. Selecting 4 wells will cause a small meteor strike at the location of Psychic Beacon. Better than nothing i guess.
