Through it all, Sharp has continued to record her own albums including nine solo releases (her latest is Reckless Thoughts) and one collaborative project with Art Garfunkel and Buddy Mondlock. Sharp is also an adjunct professor at NYU and regularly writes for Songwriting With: Soldiers, where she sits down with veterans and first responders to hear their stories and turn them into a song. Amythyst Kiah is an artist of both daring originality and uncompromising depth. In 2021, the Grammy® nominee released her breakthrough album Wary + Strange—an LP that landed on Rolling Stone’s list of the 25 Best Country and Americana Albums of 2021. On her album Still + Bright, the Tennessee-bred singer/songwriter explores the vast expanse of her inner world: her deep-rooted affinity for Eastern philosophies and spiritual traditions and a near-mystical connection with the natural environment, paired with the rare ability to spin her fascinations into songs uncovering essential truths about human nature.
