This third part demonstrates how digital signature X.509 certificates can be used in combination with encryption X.509 certificates to digitally sign as well as encrypt emails in order to provide the emails with both authenticity as well as confidentiality. The lesson then analyzes with Wireshark the effect the addition of digital signatures as well as encryption to emails has on the information visible on the network when digitally signed and encrypted emails are exchanged.
