Teen Gunmen Arrested in Murder of 7-Year-Old

Earlier this month, we told you about the arrests of four men in the tragic murder of 7-year-old Breon Allen. Today, we’re sharing the arrests of the two 17-year-old gunmen who saw innocent Breon standing next to his cousin, Lafayette Mango, and chose to pull the trigger anyway. Friday morning, Donte McGhee and Tavaris Kelly were arrested for Murder, Attempted Murder, and Conspiracy to Commit Murder. Detectives determined these two teens pulled the trigger. Four other young men involved—Keith Johnson, Dannel Larkins, Zharod Sykes and Keith Fields—face the same charges in this case. We know the shooting on January 24th was the culmination of escalating violence between two rival street groups. This targeted, planned attack led to Breon’s life being tragically cut short.
