Designing with AI is fast, but so messy. Unless… you use this process that puts you in control 👇 It’s easy to send a tool like Figma Make or Lovable a prompt for an app idea or user flow. You can even give prompt engineering a try to make better results, but there’s always something you need to change about it. But how do you know where to start when you’re prompting without wireframes or existing ui design? Let’s talk about how product designers craft ui: -Setup typography & hierarchy -Lock in a card or section -Design another card or section rounding out spacing and layout -Go back and update initial cards based on new patterns -Repeat until the full screen is done. As a product designer, you don’t design everything at once. So don’t prompt for everything at once! The best ai design workflow: -Start with one section. Detach it from an idea or use case. Purely focus on a layout that you want to use for the idea you are working on. -Refine it while adding interaction and animation (Reference ui libraries to bring more clarity) -Start referring to this component with a name in your prompts. -Reuse it by referencing that component by name, but asking for variations (now it’s a variant) -Prompt for page-level layout & spacing changes to finalize the screen layout. Seriously, I’ve never felt more in control in an ai design / vibe coder tool as I did running this workflow because, again, this is how we actually design! Give this ai design workflow a try and let me know what you think :) #figmadesign #figmamake #aidesign #vibecode
