Thun lies on the Thun lake in Switzerland’s Bernese Oberland region and it is considered as the gateway to the region. It faces Interlaken on the other side of the lake. We will walk through the town, crossing its fantastic wood covered bridges (Obere Schleuse and the Untere Schleuse) decorated with beautiful pink flowers on the sides, passing its medieval old town along the Aare river with cobblestone streets, preserved old buildings, and cheerful public squares and we continue to walk through the Obere Hauptgasse. Then walking up to Thun's castle which is the symbol of the city since it was completed in 1190 by the Dukes of Zähringen. Beside the castle and the church on the hill you can enjoy the view of the town, lake, mountains and the incredibly beautiful views around the area.
