Hi there! In this video I share how to get your alternator to swivel so that you can change the drive belts on your 80 series Land Cruiser. I did what the popular manual told me to do, as well as videos I found here on YouTube, and none of them explained the secondary bolt needed to get your alternator to swivel. I spent longer than I needed to and almost cursed the skies until I noticed the 2nd bolt that was hiding in plain sight. It is on the front of the alternator (12mm) and is the only was to get the job done. Just loosen the front bolt, then the tensioner bolt, and you will be on your way in no time. I hope this helps.
