58. Monterey Yarn Shopping 🧶 Slowfiber, Monarch Knitting & 17-Mile Drive 🌊 🦭 🐿️

Come with me on a little knitting + travel adventure in Monterey, California! 🧶✨ I rented a car in San Francisco and drove down the coast (with a quick stop in San Jose on the way back to grab my cabin suitcase 😅). The plan? Yarn, yarn… and a little ocean magic. First stop: Slowfiber – what a treasure trove for knitters and makers - so welcoming too! The lovely owner even recommended I visit San Carlos Beach, where I got to watch the sea lions up close. 🦭💙 Second stop: Monarch Knitting in Pacific Grove – absolutely gorgeous, full of colours, texture, and inspiration. And because I can’t resist a scenic drive, I also did the famous 17-Mile Drive… with its dramatic coastline, cypress trees, and a few cheeky squirrels along the way 🐿️🌊. Throughout the trip, I share some of my favourite quotes from Wayne Dyer’s film The Shift—words that have helped me tremendously in my life.
