Somewhere under the line of consciousness we are filled with dreams. Those dreams make us who we are, but should they? Maybe they should not be the main ways of guiding you through the journey of life? Let’s find out together. Working in International education since 1976, across countries such as Nepal and Chile and currently a Headmaster at British International School Phuket, Neil Richards' talk is titled, “If You Can Dream, But not Make Dreams your Master” Neil Richards has worked in international education since 1976, working in such diverse places as Nepal, the Canary Islands, Egypt, and Chile. For the last thirty years he has held the position of Headmaster in schools in Lesotho, Japan, Wales and Thailand. He was awarded an MBE for services to British Education in Japan in 2006. He has held his current position as Headmaster of the British International School Phuket since 2011. Throughout his career he has presented and offered workshops at many conferences world wide, as well as contributing to several books on International Education. He has also listened to many motivational speakers over the years, and is skeptical of the current trend to exhort young people to chase their dreams; but why is this, and what, then, is an alternative message that can be given?
