The county medical examiner who did the autopsy said George Floyd died of cardiopulmonary arrest triggered by asphyxiation. They also ruled out drug overdose as a cause. The facts say otherwise. George Floyd had four times the lethal levels of fentanyl in his system. A side effect of fentanyl is respiratory distress. He was complaining about the inability to breathe long before he was on the ground. George was clearly high, and there is evidence of a pill in his mouth suggesting that he may have had fentanyl on him and he was ingesting them to discard the evidence. He had been in a similar situation a year or so prior in which the cop thought he may have been swallowing pills. Dr. DavFowler, the former chief medical examiner, testified that George Floyd had heart disease and had health issues. The maximum restraint technique used by the cops, which is taught by the police academy, had never killed anyone. George Floyd was talking and crying out most of the time. Something that is not possible if a person is being choked. I'm not a medical examiner, nor do I claim to be, but it seems to me that drug overdose played a major part in George Floyd's death.
