What is the health of your OSS project? Find out with CHAOSS Metrics and Software

We need a new way to look at OSS project metrics because each open source project is different and everyone is interested in different aspects of project health. In this talk, we present the work of the CHAOSS community on building metrics models as collections of metrics for specific use cases. CHAOSS is short for Community Health Analytics for Open Source Software and is a community that defines metrics and builds software for understanding open source projects. In addition to presenting the metric models, we will also discuss how CHAOSS Software collects and presents data about open source projects. On the example of the Augur project, we present the flow and processing of data. On the example of the GrimoireLab project, we demonstrate some visualization and dashboarding capabilities that are available to all OpenInfra projects.
