One of our biggest wishes was to fly an Antonov once! We fulfilled that dream on our Ukraine trip this winter. It was one of those lifetime experience you simply have to make as an aviation geek! As I've already noticed on TripAdvisor, it looks like there are many people far away from being aviation geeks who are curious about this airline and especially it's safety so I decided to add some more information: Motor Sich is one of the leading engine manufacturers in the world. They are specialized in producing and maintaining engines for especially Ukrainian and Russian made helicopters and aircraft. All their aircraft are equipped with their own engines. The AN24 is one of the most successful turboprop aircraft. It was developed in the Soviet Union in the 1960's.
