My Giant Gunnera manicata - A Jungle Garden Problem...

In today's video I discuss how my Gunnera manicata / cryptica has grown huge this year and is now blocking the path through my jungle garden! I look at several different options to balance the garden out, potentially altering the path and surrounding planting to really give this massive plant the room to grow to its full potential. With huge leaves and a prehistoric vibe, this is probably my favourite plant in my U.K. tropical style jungle garden and I love the impact it gives, I just need to create more space for its colossal size! Personally, I think it's a fantastic opportunity to create a more winding path, an even more impressive leafy display next year and introduce some more ferns and hardy Begonias to really add a low-maintenance but beautiful jungle vibe to the updated right hand-side border.
