I knew that going without a local guide was going to be an interesting feat, especially walking there through the Egyptian summer heat. As I approached. theroad to the Pyramids, touts and scammers were everywhere to be seen. The closer I got, the more there were, and they definitely weren't happy with being on camera. But, being used to this kind of thing over my years of travel, I entertained them with a bit of conversation, and got past their lies, making it to the real government ticket office to buy my entry ticket. 200 Egyptian pounds to enter the Pyramid area and I believe another 100 to go inside the tombs of the Pyramids. But I was more excited to meet the local people and salesman, to get an insight of local life here in Giza.
