The base game is available as a free download over Xbox Live with a free playable character that rotates on a weekly basis to allow players to experience the whole cast for free. This season kicks off with two returning fighters T.J. Combo, who having lost everything and being scorned by the public, has removed the cybernetic implants from his arms and seeks to earn his redemption and Maya the fearless amazon hunter equipped with her twin daggers Temperance and Vengeance.
