Exploring Harvard's Freshman Dorms!

Join me as I run through all the freshman dormitories at Harvard! Unfortunately, this is not a dorm tour video as I could not find enough people who were interested in doing dorm tour videos before the year ended, but hopefully it still gives you a good sense of what each of the first year dorms have to offer! The halls are divided into smaller "yards", known as Crimson Yard, Elm Yard, Ivy Yard, and Oak Yard, and temporarily, Maple Yard. Each summer, before the year starts, freshmen get assigned to their first year dorm after filling out a housing application with pertinent information about their rooming desires, where they are subsequently matched with roommates who best fit them. I was placed into Matthews Hall with two incredible roommates and I am so grateful for where and with who the housing people placed me. Want to read more about first year housing?
