SBCC’s Breathe Extended Brunch: Gratitude, Growth, and Celebration
On Sunday, August 24, SBCC proudly hosted a special celebration brunch at the iconic Beverly Hills Hotel to honor 200 former foster youth, ages 23–25, who participated in the two-year Breathe Extended Guaranteed Income Program. The event featured an inspiring opening by Executive Director Colleen Mooney and was beautifully emceed by Talya Thompson, a former foster youth herself. Guests enjoyed heartfelt testimonies from several participants, reflecting on how the program impacted their lives, followed by a gourmet brunch, raffle giveaways, and an interactive 360° photo booth.
