The Troyes - Morning Of The Rain … unreleased, recorded in 1967 The Troyes were a garage band from Battle Creek, Michigan that was active from 1966-1968. The band recorded almost two LPs worth of material at Detroit's, United Sound Studios, however only two singles were released. The first single,“Why/Rainbow Chaser”, was first released in 1966 on the Phalanx record label and was a local hit.. When the band signed with Space Records they reissued their first single again, but it failed to catch on nationally. The following year in 1967 they released their second single, “Love Comes, Love Dies/Help Me Find Myself” but it also failed to catch on. The band went through several member changes and split up in 1968. The original band members were Jerry Younglove (bass), Lee Koteles (organ, lead vocals), Fred Dummer (lead guitar), Gary Linke (lead guitar) and Bill Hirakis (drums). Today the band is considered one of the best garage rock bands to come from Michigan. Over the years many of their songs have been released on various comp LPs, the source for the audio in this video is from the 2017 Thermionic Records/Lion Productions double LP “Love Comes, Love Dies The Complete Recordings, The Troyes”.
