so.... I'm pretty sure that many you have had a chance to play through the latest NieR game and got blown away by the number of endings. For some reasons I really, really like the first song I played (by ear and out of memory). Vague hope was used in ending A. B, and D in the most appropriate way to maximize players' emotion, especially with 9S's monologue (don't look it up if you don't know what I'm talking about). Some memorable tracks from NieR were also used in this game to give you serious nostalgia. And in the ending scene of a side quest, 同胞達の行方, the melody of Kaine flew out with blooming lunar tear flowers lighting up the dark. So naturally my mind went to that cutscene and played Kaine after Vague hope. Anyway, if you're a fan of NieR, it's only loosely connected to the first game but you'd still find surprises for you throughout the game. Other than these two songs I recorded, I also like 追悼, 還ラナイ声, Possessed by a Disease, the forest theme, and the amusement park/boss fight theme (and the ending theme as well). I have to admit that I feel the plot is less rich as compared to NieR. However, as much as there are loop holes in the storyline (or we may just need to wait till the guidebook's out), NieR:A gives you characters you would care deeply and the music remain amazing. Thank you, Mr. Okabe and Mr. Hoashi, for the treat! If you have not pre-ordered NieR:Automata Original Soundtrack, you can still do it via Amazon.co.jp as they ship to everywhere in the world. I already pre-ordered mine. It comes with a 16-track hacking theme 8-bit music- which is a bit disappointing for me. It was well-introduced in the game but... well... I guess I'd rather they include those two crazy songs コノママジャダメ/みんなで死んで神になる(This cannot continue/become as gods). Man, I love both songs so much. And Emil's shop theme was pretty hilarious as well. So many good songs. Just pre-order it.
