This particular model behind me is a Zenyer 101 - B Stainless Steel Egg Grader, it grades 4000 eggs an hour and I’m going to show you how you do that right now. Before we put some eggs on I’m going to show you around these particular unit, firstly this is where you going to place your eggs when they come straight from the tray, when the machine’s turn on - they move through this section which is your candling area so we’ve got LED lights that come up through the bottom that’s so you can candle the eggs - shining a bright light through the egg so you can see any hairline cracks or fractures the egg then goes through the printing section that prints directly on the shell of the egg and then goes straight out to the grading table. So after the eggs are printed, it comes through to the grading table, we’ve got seven different sizes here, from your large eggs right through to your small and these sizes can be adjusted to .5 of a gram accuracy so you’ve got the accuracy before you place the eggs into the egg cartons. So I’ll show you now the Egg Grader in action so the first thing we need to do is put the eggs on the Grading Machine, so we’ve got two lines here to put the eggs on and just place the eggs on the side just like that. I’m now going to turn it on and I’ll show you how the candling feature works, so I’ll turn the machine on - now the eggs are moving through slowly and they’re rolling and as they roll over the light - you can see little hairline cracks or fractures inside the egg, this is a really good point of quality control. After the eggs are candled - they then go under the printer and this will print your farm name or number so your eggs can be identified. So you can print directly onto the shell, so in the example here you can see that we’ve printed Chicken Caravan onto the egg as well as your farm name you can also print the date directly on the egg if you so wish. So this is the section where the eggs are graded into sizes so I’ll turn the machine on now and you’ll see that they come down different lines depending on the weight of the egg. So in the back there, it just trips a weight and then it will come down the relevant lane. What you will find is a lot of your eggs will come out in the middle being the general size eggs and then you won’t get as many eggs off to the sides being your very small or quite large ones. A great addition to your Egg Grading machine is this here which is a vacuum egg lifter, now this one’s not hooked up but basically this gets hooked up to a vacuum air compressor and then all you need to do - you put it over your tray of eggs and you can pick up 30 eggs at a time and put them straight on your grading table, now the configuration of this can be changed to have two lines or three lines of eggs so you can put them straight unto your grading table.
