You are doing Legal Studies as a step toward your future. But what does that future look like? Numerous studies have shown that if we document goals in writing, then we are more likely to achieve them. A great way to think about and document goals is by understanding the 5 Key Life Areas (KLAs) - (1) Health & Wellbeing, (2) Personal, (3) Key Relationships, (4) Job (including Full Time Study) and (5) Finances. Start by picking the area of your life in which it is most important to you to see great results. (Note that in considering this, the areas are presented in the general order of importance to life generally: for example, you can't hope to achieve your best in other areas of life if you don't have good Health & Wellbeing). Once you have identified the relevant area, then it is time to think about what you want to achieve and the ONE Thing that is going to help you get there. AN EXAMPLE: Sally is an HSC student who is generally feeling well and she is happy with how her relationships are going at the moment. But she is struggling with motivation to study and doesn't know what she wants to do in the medium term after school. Clearly, her 'job' is the KLA she needs to focus on at the moment. (As an aside, many students struggle with this type of issue and it will be the subject of a future video, but for the moment think about "What might excite or fulfill you?" rather than the nebulous "What do you want to be?". Asking the right question is the key to coming up with the right answer. And remember that no matter what direction you pick, you can always change direction in the future).
