In Exodus 18:1–12, Moses shared with his father-in-law Jethro all that the Lord had done in delivering Israel from Egypt and sustaining them through hardship. Moses did not speak to praise himself, but to proclaim God’s mighty acts, turning his story into a testimony of grace and power. When Jethro heard this, he rejoiced, confessed that the Lord is greater than all gods, and worshiped Him. This passage shows that faithful testimony can lead others from hearing about God’s works to honoring and worshiping Him as Lord. 📖 Bible Readings: Exodus 18:1-12 (Psalm 34:2–3, Psalm 105:1, Romans 15:9) 👨🏻💻 Teachings: 1. We testify to boast what the Lord has done. 2. We testify to cause others to rejoice in the Lord. 3. We testify to lead others to worship the Lord. 💪🏼 Applications: 1. Embrace pain, sorrow, and weaknesses as part of life. 2. Expect God’s power made perfect in weaknesses. 3. Exalt God and lead others to exalt Him. 🎙Discussion: To whom will you testify about the goodness of God? What will you say? 🤿 Dive Deeper: Jethro, from pagan priest to Yahweh’s priest. 🙏🏼 Prayer: Father God, teach me to embrace pain, sorrow, and weakness as part of Your refining work in my life. When I feel weak, remind me that Your power is made perfect in weakness. Your grace is always enough. Let my struggles become display of Your strength and glory. Give me courage to testify about Your goodness to my family, friends, and those who do not yet know You. Help me declare how You sustain me. As You turned Jethro from a pagan priest into a worshiper of Yahweh, turn many hearts today through my testimony. That in all things God maybe glorified.
