According to the Myricks, the original Painkiller featured either Cruzan or Mount Gay Gold. It wasn't until 18 years later that Pusser's Rum would trademark the Painkiller which it still holds the trademark to today. A little more on these recipes: The Pussers: The recipe is well known and shared online, on their mugs, and by their creator Charles Tobias with the 4:1:1 ratio. But online and in books, most people default to this version as the official Soggy Dollar version without realizing Pusser's did not create the cocktail. Soggy Dollar: This version is a little more difficult to source, the recipe I used today is from Forbes (link below) and says it's directly from the bar, but doesn't necessarily seem official. It's in an article written by travel contributor, Brittany Anas. I did find a video from the Caribbean Journal where the Soggy Dollar bar is mixing up a batch of Painkillers and it's not conclusive, but does look like it is either equal parts orange juice, pineapple juice, and CocoLopez OR more orange juice than pineapple and still equal parts pineapple and CocoLopez. Video is a little inconclusive due to the size of the cartons and cans and we don't know what they started with. It is clear it is not a 4:1:1 ratio Soggy Dollar Bar Recipe: https://www.forbes.com/sites/brittany...
