Glenn Goodrich gives Nate and Fred a tour of the Eden, VT sugaring operation. This episode is a tour of the sugarhouse, where the sap is converted to maple syrup. Sap is collected in 13,000 gallon H2O sap tanks. The sap is processed through H2O reverse osmosis to 30 brix concentrate. The concentrate is stored in a refrigerated bulk tank before being boiled in MES steam evaporators. The syrup is filtered and stored in 55-gallon drums and 300-gallon totes.
