VSCC Loton Park 2023 hillclimb | Vintage speed event

In this video we head to the 2023 VSCC Loton Park speed hillclimb to spectate while all manner of vintage cars battled with each other and against the stopwatch to grab FTD, or Fastest Time of the Day - either overall, or specifically in their class. During our day at VSCC Loton Park I grabbed a chat with the owner of a wonderful Ford-powered racing car, the 1929 Empy Special, and in the roadgoing vintage car parking area I found the proud owner of a lovely 1920s Austin Heavy 12/4, both conversations make it into this upload. You'll also find extensive paddock walkarounds plus footage of cars completing their climbs - all in all, a grand day out was had at the 2023 VSCC Loton Park meeting. VSCC (Vintage Sports Car Club) cars taking part included various Austin 7 and Riley specials, the aforementioned Empy Special, several early American cars (including a Dodge), Lagondas, Bugattis, Frazer Nashes, plus a number of vintage hillclimb specials built specifically with hillclimbing in mind, and many more. There were quite a few interesting old cars to be found in the Loton Park public car park area too, so quite a few of them make an appearance in this video. The Goodwood Revival took place over the same weekend so that depleted numbers slightly, but there were still plenty of vintage racers out at Loton Park to make it a great day's entertainment.
