HELMAROC KING Difficulty: 5/10 Items Needed: Skull Hammer, Master Sword (Optional) Collectibles: 3 1. Treasure Chart #25 (Salvaged for 200 Rupees) 2. Skull Hammer 3. Heart Container In this part, we head to the far northwestern part of the map, and back to Forsaken Fortress. Before going in, we salvage Treasure Chart #25 for 200 Rupees. Next we head to the entrance and blow it open with our bombs/cannon before heading inside. From here we head up the staircase and enter the mini-boss fight against Phantom Ganon. The fight works as it does traditionally with Phantom Ganon as we play death tennis and slash his magic attack back at him until it stuns him, before we head over and attack him while hes down. After enough damage is dealt, Phantom Ganon leaves and we get the Skull Hammer. (This lets us smash down switches and send enemies flying.) From here, we continue using our previous route through the Forsaken Fortress and end up back in the room with our sister. After a cutscene we are once again attacked by the Helmaroc King, but this time while the room floods with water. Once we regain control, we climb up the tower, ignoring the Helmaroc King and any other enemies until we reach the top. When we reach the top the Helmaroc King will get in our way, and we must use the Skull Hammer to fix the problem. The arena is a circular platform with spikes all around it's edges. Helmaroc King's Attacks: The King may fly by and try to scrape at us with its talons, or it may fly in place and try to blow us into the spikes. Lastly, it will land and try to peck at us with its beak. Strategy: Once the fight starts, we watch the King and watch patiently for him to land on the ground and try to peck us. Once he does, we dodge it and the King's beak gets stuck in the ground momentarily, giving us enough time to get our the Skull Hammer and nail on his mask. After hitting it enough times, it will break off revealing the King's real head. We repeat the process once again (now able to attack with the Master Sword since we broke the mask) until we defeat the Helmaroc King. Afterwards, we get the Heart Container, and climb up the tower for a cutscene. Once the scene ends, we revisit the room where we got the Master Sword inside the castle to get yet another cutscene. Lastly, we return to the world above.
