The Enchantments are located in the Alpine Lakes Wilderness near Leavenworth, Washington and are home to incredible alpine lakes and towering craggy peaks. The Enchantments are also located within the Cascade Mountain Range. The incredibly gorgeous Colchuck Lake is the icon of the Alpine Lakes Wilderness and a bucket list hike for many people. Colchuck Lake Trail is very popular and for good reason as Colchuck Lake is one of the most beautiful alpine lakes in the country. Colchuck Peak and Dragontail Peak loom high above Colchuck Lake giving a perfect reflection during most of the day. The Enchantments Trail loop is a must if you are in the area but if you want more spice look no further than the scramble and climb up Aasgard Pass and Dragontail Peak! This adventure is over 12 miles out and back and 5,500+ feet of elevation gain, making this a full day in Washington's alpine! The Enchantments area could be the best and most beautiful mountains in Washington. There are plenty of adventure possibilities with over 700 alpine lakes and ponds located in the Alpine Lakes Wilderness. The nearby Bavarian themed town of Leavenworth is a great place to stay and explore as well.
