In the last installment of Tobacco R&D Time, four portions of the same blend (one part each of red and bright Virginias, Latakia, and Perique) were measured and mixed, then two of them were stoved for two hours at 200°F. ( • Blending, Stoving, and Pressing Experiment... ) In this installment, the blends have aged for almost two months, so it’s time to put them in the presses. One stoved and one unstoved portion will be put in identical presses with as equal pressure as possible for a week or so.
