In this Building a House Episode we push to get our certificate of occupancy in just two weeks. Before we can even apply we must cross off everything on our checklist. Starting out with the mechanicals: Electrical, Plumbing, and HVAC. Once the mechanicals are approved then we can start on our checklist for the building inspection. This includes Doors on, Final Paint, Trim & Stairs, Locks, Front Columns, Complete Insulation. Some others for our own personal benefit include the hardwood floor, appliances, and cabinet pulls.
