'Democracy, not dictatorship': Priyanka Gandhi protests over Jamia incident

Indian National Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra protested in the national capital on Monday. Demonstrating in front of India Gate, the Congress general secretary targeted the Central government over police action against students of Jamia Millia Islamia. Students of the varsity had been detained following protests against the Citizenship law which had turned violent. The students denied any role in the violence, and accused police of barging into the campus and assaulting them. Delhi police, in turn, claimed that it used 'minimum' force. Priyanka accused the NDA government of dealing a blow to the Constitution and youth, who she said are the spirit of the country.
