Ride out to the Salt Creek Hills near Dumont and explore a piece of history from 1849! This is a great way to break up your dune trip and take a little day or half day adventure depending on how much time you choose to spend out there. The hike is only about a 1/4 mile but there are hiking trails that go all over those mountains to mines. Do not leave any trash and do not take anything from the area.
