Today I’m checking out the Dreadweave playtest and sharing my first impressions. Imagine a solo Escape From Tarkov or STALKER style experience, but layered with an upside down realm straight out of Stranger Things, filled with strange creatures and environmental anomalies. That’s the vibe here. It’s shaping up to be a really intriguing PvE extraction horror game with one very clever twist - the main monster cannot see you directly. Instead, it senses your heartbeat and hunts you based on your fear level. That mechanic alone creates a completely different kind of tension compared to traditional stealth or horror shooters.
