This week we are learning how to make adorable eeveelution inspired cupcakes! Any questions comments or concerns feel free to contact me. Now the tools and equipment we will need are: some different colours of fondant, a fondant rolling pin, a sharp knife, a template, some yummy cupcakes and finally some buttercream frosting. First things first lets make our ears. Starting with flareon we are just going to need the fondant to ensure is soft and plyable, we are looking for the consistency of play doh So we are going to roll this out to about 1/8th of an inch thick. If you don’t have a silicon mat like me you shall need to sprinkle down some icing sugar or corn flour to stop the fondant sticking. Now we are going to get our template, place it down on our fondant and run over the design with a rollerball pen. As you can see this creates an indentation we can follow with our knife. So all we have to do now is cut out the shapes. Ok so now we just have to peel away the excess fondant and use our fingers to smooth out the edges of the freshly cut fondant. To make the inside of the ears we follow the same procedure. Grab a paintbrush and just dab a little water onto our ears and carefully place our black fondant inside. Now we repeat this for the rest of our designs. Ok we have to let these dry completely which can take up to 24 hours depending on how warm your house is, before we leave though I am just going to use my knife to add some lines onto our blue ears to make them look more like vaporeons gills. And we are back and lovely and dry. I have dyed my butter cream blue, orange and yellow. Now to give some diferation to my eevee cupcakes I have put a star tip on yellow, a round tip on flareon and a 2D tip on blue. Starting with orange we are going to grab our cupcake in one hand and with slight pressure we are going to do simple swirl. Add our ears and flareons cute little quiff and we are done so lets repeat this for the rest of the cupcakes.
