In Acts 2, Luke makes a careful distinction that often gets overlooked. In verse 42, we’re told what the ordinary believers devoted themselves to — teaching, fellowship, breaking of bread, and prayers. In verse 43, the focus shifts to what the apostles were doing — signs, wonders, and apostolic authority. Those are not the same roles, and Scripture doesn’t blur them. In this brief video, I walk through Acts 2:42–43 and explain why this distinction matters for how we understand the early church, spiritual authority, and our expectations today.
