Colin: Hey everyone. It's Colin here at etrailer. Today we're going to take a look at this toolbox from RC Manufacturing.This is their T-series trailer tongue toolbox. And this is a toolbox that will mount to the A-frame of your trailer whether it's an enclosed one, maybe a utility trailer, or even a landscaping trailer. It's just going to give you some extra storage space for smaller things like tools, maybe a ball mount, straps. Really, whatever you don't want to put inside your trailer or stuff you don't want to expose to the elements for those flatbed trailers, you can get them inside, locked up and secured.If you find that this is not quite the design you're looking for, this box is also available in a black powder coat finish and a full steel construction. So, check out our website if that's something you want to add.The box itself has a very durable, aluminum construction. The latch is going to be the only part not aluminum. That's going to be stainless steel but both of those constructions are going to be resistant to rust and corrosion. What's nice is that while it is very durable, it's going to be lightweight as well. So, you're not adding too much weight to the tongue of your trailer. So when you're factoring in tongue weight to make sure your vehicle can handle it, you don't have much to worry about what this box on it.The latch itself has a nice flush mount design to it so it doesn't protrude too much from your box. It's also got a nice seal around it to make sure no water or debris gets behind the latch and inside your box. We're also going to have a lock cylinder on our latch. So, right now you can see it opens up, but when it's going to be unattended, you can lock it up. That way, no one can access the contents inside your box.Another really cool feature is that it does have a built-in gas strut on the inside for our lid. So, let's say I'm coming up here, I've got one arm full of some tools and stuff I want to throw in the box. Well, I don't have to worry about lifting up the lid, just pull the handle, opens up itself. That gas strut right there is going to hold it open so I can pull my tools out or put them back, whatever I need to do.So, you can see what we got stored on the inside, ball amounts, extension cord, some toolboxes. It's really helpful to get these things locked up and they're going to be here when we need it. We have about 2.6 cubic feet of storage space inside this box. If you don't think that's going to be quite enough for everything you want to throw inside, there is a bigger version of this box available from the same manufacturer. It's going to have 5.2 cubic feet of storage space. So, you're going to be able to fit a lot more in there. If that's something you're interested in, just check out our website.The lids going to have a nice neoprene seal right here. That's just going to help keep out the elements such as rain, moisture, and other debris from getting in. And we're also going to have a piano hinge on our lid to make sure it has very solid contact with our box. And one really cool thing is that you'll notice that our lip right here is going to come over top of our box when we close it to provide and add to that weatherproof seal.The bottom of our box does have a nice seal at all the weld points at the bottom. Again, just adds to that protection from the elements. You might also notice we don't have any mounting hardware on the inside, it's just sitting on top of our A-frame of our trailer right now. This box does not come with any mounting hardware. You can pick some up here at etrailer, whether you want some self-tapping screws, maybe some U bolts. You could also weld it to your trailer if that's what will suit your needs better.Now I'm going to give you some measurements so you can decide if this is going to fit your application. At the longest point, it's going to be 30 inches long. At the shortest point, it's going to be 18 inches long. And it's also going to be 15 and a half inches deep and then 14 and a half inches tall.Well, I hope this information helped you guys out, but that's going to do it for our look at RC Manufacturing's trailer tongue toolbox.
