Kevin Berthia and Kevin Briggs were brought together on March 11, 2005 when Berthia tried to commit suicide for the 11th or 12th time (he couldn’t remember) on the Golden Gate Bridge. They met as Berthia stood 220 feet above the water on a thin beam, convinced the world would be better off without him. Hear how a complete stranger was able to convince him to live and how it took crossing paths a second time for Berthia to realize his life, story and suffering could help other people. Both men are open about their own struggles with mental illness and hope to break the stigmas associated with it.
