Applied Engineering Building Ribbon Cutting & Open House

Watch as we celebrate UNI’s state-of-the-art engineering facility and the growing momentum behind UNI’s engineering programs. The Applied Engineering Building is funded primarily by a $40 million investment from the State of Iowa. The building includes cutting-edge technology and labs, and one of the most modern foundries in the U.S. The Applied Engineering Building expanded by 40,000 square feet and now features state of the art laboratory and collaborative learning spaces. Approximately 60,000 square feet of existing space has also been renovated. The facility itself is a learning tool, featuring open-concept ceilings with visible pipes and electrical chases.
