How to make Campfire Cones vs S'mores during our camping trip to Golden Gate Canyon State Park in Colorado. The campfire cones recipe is to melt mini marshmallows, chocolate chips, strawberries, Reese's peanut butter chips, bananas all together in a waffle cone for a camping treat that makes everyone pretty happy. I don't think the standard smore ever had a chance! DIY camping cones for the camping dessert win! We camped at the Reverend's Ridge campground at Golden Gate Canyon in our new Winnebago Micro Minnie 2100BH and found some of our friends to help with this campfire cook-off. The statewide fire-ban held us to using the propane grill, but that didn't stop our little experiment with comparing smores-like treats to traditional s'mores. I attempt to mountain bike on the Racoon trail up near Panorama Point, but our ride was quickly interrupted by a mountain lion stalking or sighting! We decided to go over to the Horseshoe trail with everyone. This wasn't the best hike in the world, but it was great to get outdoors on the trail.
